Hi I'm a fan of Michael NEwton's work on life between lives.
I had my first session with a trained hypnosis from his institute yesterday. I have had hypnosis before with good results.
However yesterday I got nothing. I was under good deep trance, but did not experience anything like the case studies in his books.
I got a big blank.
I am very disapointed.
Does anyone else have information on this topic to share? |

Pretty much like Mitsu, my session with a Newtonian practitioner was more of a miss then success, but I'd like to ask your opinion on the meaning of my self regression experience.
When I do a self regression (I'm using Brian Weiss 3rd CD), I get to a point where I see myself without a body, therefore I assume I'm in the spirit form, and I always see a white, bright circle, almost like a sun, but with short light rays and not hot.
No matter how hard I try to go into this white circle it always eludes me, often because it's behind a dark circle (resembles a planet) and when I try to move closer it just hides behind the dark circle. The whole scenario looks like a solar eclipse except the white circle is moving very fast, and although I can move very fast too I can never go into the white circle.
Does this white light circle have any meaning and why do you think it's not allowing me in?

There are a lot of factors involved when going through past life as well as life between lives. It is important when visiting a past life that you allow yourself to let the information come to you in whatever way it will. Too many people are stuck on seeing things, and when they do not, they may say it's not working I do not see anything. Or they may find that they get some images, then things go 'blank', and this may be blackness, or as I had several client state this last week, everything is WHITE Light.
This could be the conscious mind coming into play, trying to rationalize things and it is important that the therapist have various ways of dealing with this at hand, and work with this both during the pretalk before the session and also during the session itself.
I know I am starting by talking about past life and you are asking about LBL, but it is important that you go thru a past life session before attempting life between lives. Did you have a past life session first?
In addition, there are people who have been trained and doing these sessions for many years, and others who have been trained more recently and are new to this work. We all have successes as well as challenging clients when doing LBL work, just like any sort of hypnosis work.
I always ask people a lot of questions and spend an hour or more talking before the 1st session. Some things I ask about are dreams and meditation. It is important to be able to quiet the mind, and keep it quiet, even people with active minds can learn to do so, and this is very important in both past life and life between lives work. Also rapport between the client and therapist is important.
I know I have worked with LBL clients (I am certified through the Newton Institute) as well as past life clients who have been to someone else and were not satisfied with the results. I have had good results most of the time with these clients, but not always. In addition, I am sure I have had some people see me, then go elsewhere.
If you have an active mind and have trouble quieting your mind, you might consider meditation, or multiple sessions to work on quieting your mind and perhaps 1 or more past life sessions first.
For me, I am not very visual, and when I was experiencing my first LBL session I really did not 'see' much of anything, except 1 snapshot. But I was able to describe things as if I could see them. I had feelings and was aware of them and was able to offer information based on my feelings, much of which sounded like I was seeing things. Different people experience these sessions in different ways.

If all their life between lives sessions were like the case studies, maybe the book would have been longer??
They are anecdotal.
If there is relevance in this type of work, it would not necessarily be relevant/helpful to everyone.
The lack of results may have been because of the hypnotist. Maybe the hypnotist's techniques. Maybe the premise.... |
