Hello to everyone.

Recently, I've been really interested in self hypnosis. My purpose is to get rid of some of problems that I can't fight to with logic or actions.

But I am a totally newbie in this field. I'll explain my problems.

Problem #1: I can't get in the deep hypnosis state. Actually, I think I'm not able to get in any state. I can't get focused. Maybe I don't know the right technique.

Problem #2: Let's say that I can hypnotize myself. Once there, how can I send messages tu my subconcious mind? How can I make the change? Let's say I'm afraid to speaking with strangers. Can I really erase my problem this way?

Can we really get rid of our fears, blocks, problems with self hypnosis?

If yes, I'm glad you suggest me the right path, tools, resources or anything to achieve my goal.

I've seen mp3 files that you can use to help do self hypnosis. I haven't tried them (yet) but want to use them to lose weight.

The only way to get better at relaxing is to start with what you can do and develop from there. It may take some time but would be worth it in the end if you get the desired results. So don't put pressure on yourself to achieve what you think you SHOULD be doing just take it step by step.
Appealing to the subconscious involves preparation too. We are so used to using words that we think they solve everything but words once received normally convert by the subconscious into pictures. That's good news because it is a lot simple to imagine a picture than to listen to a string of words and you can do it very quickly and regularly once you have learned how.
You need to to look at the end result though and be sure you know exactly what you want. For instance talking to strangers. Define it further and see what you really want from that. Spend a lot of time thinking around this and you will find that the results will come much more easily the more you prepare.

Go gently on yourself with hypnosis. Don't expect too much regarding the state. Simply take your time to sit back and relax. It is so pleasant to know that you really don't have to do anything for a while and just let your unconscious mind process as you go deeper and deeper using your technique of focusing more within. Your mind will wonder, and other thoughts will come in. Just gently bring it back to to the task, expecting nothing to occur, but rather being curious of what does occur, if anything.

Regarding your issues, in theory you can work on them using hypnosis, however, you will achieve much more with a good hypnotherapist.

Hello Fearless,
First, You are not alone on the freer front. There is not a person in this forum that does not have fears of some kind, including me. What I have found is we try too hard to overcome those fears. How I handle my fears is put them in the proper perspective. Did I have these fears 20 years ago, or are they more recent like in the last year. Fact is, it does not matter. What does matter, is you face those fears and realize there have been billions before you and they have survived, even with their own "made up" fears.
The Internets is my source of getting my fears answered...are they real? How do others handle their fears? Research and push yourself a little to face your fears and are they real. Once you get past those fears you will wonder, why did I have that silly fear in the first place.... Good Luck and keep moving forward.

Hello Fearless,

In compliment to what everyone else has said, this has been one of my biggest challenges.

They can absolutely be dealt with using self hypnosis, but the main point is to be able to allow yourself to feel that fear in your body temporarily and walk through the process of neautralising it. The way that is done is by getting into the habit of mindful breathing, which allows you to be in the observer seat while you work on each of those fears.

I have eliminated most of my debilitating fears with this process. If interested, PM me and I'll share more.
