Hi, first of all hello everyone and I must say I have read some very informative posts.

Right I have real bad problems sleeping and have tried everything except hypnosis. Now I have a session booked with a hypnotised but was curious about self hypnosis and how I would go about giving it a try.

I must admit I have tried a few of the techniques found on the net and they haven't worked for me but I think this is because I find it very hard to get in to a relaxed state.

Any advice, suggestions or tips anyone can give me I would appreciate very much.

Hello Jay,

Ask your Hypnotherapist to give you self hypnosis instructions while you are having your session(s).

This will help you to go into the hypnosis state whenever you want. This is a great shortcut to training yourself. Basically once you are in the hypnotized state the Hypnotist can give you a set of things you can do to go "there" very quickly (for example: hold your finger and thumb into a circle and count backward from 3 to 1) and you will return to the fully relaxed state immediately.

We have created an audio program (see link below) to do this as well, but there is nothing that can compare to a one-on-one session with a qualified Hypnotherapist.

Hi Jay

I have worked with a number of people who thought thay had sleep problems. and before I did any hypno work, I asked them to play with this.

To lay in bed and to think about their whole day, and from where they was right now i.e. laying in bed, slowly run the day backwards in as much detail as can be done, very slowly and frame by frame. up untill they had reached that point of that day and waking up. I have used this process a number of times and it works really well. and the people i asked to play with this did not need to use any hypno, as it worked with out.

Play with it for a few days, one thing that seems to happen, is that you memory might imporove some.
